How do we Stop Doing Dumb Things to our customers and our people, and start making work better, start delivering better service, and start creating lasting value?

At What Goes Around, Budd and Humap we feel customer and employee experiences are connected, so we invite you to join us at the Stop Doing Dumb Things Unconference to transform how your people treat these connections.

Join people from companies including Aviva, Barclays, Sky, Rio Tinto, Yell, Red Gate Software, Crawford and Company, Talis, Rexam, Worldpay, Grass Roots, Cranfield, Leaseplan, The Royal London Society for the Blind, and Surveylab.

Better value, advocacy, loyalty and innovation are among the many reciprocal benefits from better connected customers and employees. We all know it, yet few organisations have managed to weave these powerful threads together.

Now we can. Social media and other tools give customers and staff stronger, clearer voices than ever. Great service gets recognised and dumb service gets widely exposed. Worse still, routine service procedures grind on as if they are unavoidable. The same goes for the poor employee. Employee and customer experience are now utterly entangled. Only learning and practising how to work better can achieve the best customer experiences.

Keeping staff and customers is the heart of successful business. And yet firms do dumb things to customers and people driving them away. Replacing them is time consuming and costly. This unconference will help you to retain your customers and people and in turn, invest in growing your business.

WHAT?

What is an Unconference? Very simply it's a participative, collaborative learning experience. There are no event sponsors, no selling at you, and no long, one way presentations. You will meet with fellow practitioners and experts and discuss issues and opportunities that are important to you.

It's collaborative. You can get involved in discussions on the day and also in the organisation of the event.  If you have something you would like to address in this forum, then simply please suggest it. The day will be broken up into a number of free flowing discussion groups based around subjects as suggested by the attendees in the lead up to the unconference and on the day itself.

WHEN?

November 23rd 2011 – 9.30am until 4.30pm (and please join us for drinks and networking afterwards)

WHERE?

The Spring, Vauxhall Gardens, London.

WHY?

To learn. To share. To innovate. To create lasting value. To make work better.
